Graduate Programs in Environmental Health Nursing at the University of Maryland School of Nursing


The University of Maryland School of Nursing offers two graduate programs for nurses who wish to pursue the study of environmental health at the graduate level: the Master of Science Program in Community and Environmental Health with Emphasis in Environmental Health and the Post-Masters Certificate Program in Environmental Health.

Both programs explore environmental health topics such as air quality, water quality, food safety, toxicology, children's environmental health, and other environmental health issues.  Emphasis is placed on health assessment, education, research, policy, and advocacy.
